About the Publication:

Liberty’s Last Stand is a student publication at Claremont McKenna College in Southern California dedicated to the maximization of individual freedom and liberty.  The publication’s staff was organized in 2009, due to resistance to libertarian views in existing student publications, and it released its first edition in January of 2010.  Liberty’s Last Stand covers issues pertaining to liberty internationally, domestically, in California, and at the Claremont Colleges.  Though the publication’s writers embrace a variety of political philosophies, they generally support a “Classical Liberal” approach to economics and embrace a particular brand of social liberalism that minimizes government intrusion into people’s personal decisions.  It is currently headed by chief editors Spencer Kline and Karthik Reddy, who are assisted by managing editors Livia Romano and Ashley Baugh.  All students at any of the Claremont Colleges may contribute to the publication.  Those interested in writing an article or a letter to editor should visit the appropriate pages using the links to the left.  Please feel free to contact Liberty’s Last Stand with any other questions or comments.
